Christmas 2005

The night Before Christmas, the kids dressed up and acted out the Nativity as Mom read the account from the scriptures and Dad directed. Afterwards, they opened their Christmas Eve presents from Grandma (pajamas).

After the kids were in bed, a transformation took place in the living room as presents came out from deep in closets, chests, under beds, and even came in from the garage. Stockings were filled with candy and gifts, and the room was soon full of surprises for the sleeping children.

Christmas morning, Mom and Dad arose, got breakfast cooking (quiche and cinnamon rolls) and the woke the kids. It didn't take long for the groggy children to venture to the living room to see what Santa had brought. After that was a frenzy of gift opening and excitement as they discovered balls, puzzles, books, games, and yes, even some clothes. The rest of the day was spent going to church (Where Mom sang with the choir), eating a ham dinner, and playing with the presents we received.

John enjoyed dressing up as an engineer and blowing his train whistle.

The puppet theater and collection of puppets was a big hit for the children, and Daddy!

Peter had fun just playing with a ribbon.

Mom and the kids really enjoyed playing with the balls and magnets sent by Mom's brother, Daniel.
